Nintendo Media Summit

This week’s Nintendo Media Summit, held in San Francisco, CA has so far contained a few surprising announcements. Nintendo Vice President Cammie Dunaway announced that two MAJOR Wii titles will be shipping MUCH earlier than originally expected. Those titles? Metroid: Other M, and Super Mario Galaxy 2, both to drop mid 2010. Metroid: Other M is promised to be a much darker and scarier version of Metriod, and to show a new side of Samus Aran. Metroid will launch June 27th. Mario Galaxy 2 is the much anticipated sequel to 2007’s Mario Galaxy, and promises to offer everything the first did and more, with being able to ride Yoshi! A few other note-able announcements were: Warioware: DIY for DsiWare, which is a new warioware game that actually lets you design your own crazy mini-games, and Capcom announced that the 8 bit adventures of Mega Man will continue this summer with the release of Mega Man 10 (which will also be released via Xbox Live, and PSN). With E3 coming up in just a few short months, its hard to tell what else Nintendo has up their sleeve, but considering their are the industry leader as of now, im sure there will be something HUGE planned.
