News: Them Crooked Vultures

crookedTool, Depeche Mode, Kings of Leon and tons of other bands put on amazing sets at Lollapalooza this past weekend but the most anticipated show took place after the festival ended.  The humidity seeped into the historic Metro club near Wrigley Field in Chicago as  Them Crooked Vultures played for a packed house.  With Dave Grohl on drums, Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age on lead vocals(w/fellow QOTSA associate Alain Johannes) and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones playing keyboards, bass, and even the keytar, the trio now known as Them Crooked Vultures made their world debut playing 12 songs with such titles as “Scumbag Blues,” “Mind Eraser (No Chaser),” “Caligulove” and “Interlude w/Ludes.”  The recorded version of the songs are to be released later this year, with a supporting tour to follow, however, no dates have been confirmed yet.  In the meantime, check out a snippet of what they sound like and let us know how much you love the vulture heads.
