Flight Of The Conchords-The Musical? Just like what Green Day is doing with “American Idiot”, that could be a reality for Bret and Jermaine. The duo just finished filming for the second season, and although their new album, “I Told You I Was Freaky” will be released October 20th, the future of the show is unsure. Rhys Darby, who plays Murray Hewitt, dropped the news that they plan to take a one year hiatus. “There’s no decision made. There’s been orders for another season but I know the guys have a British mentality where you create something, you finish it and move on. We’re being pulled different ways. Even if we do go on, there are different options there. Do we do a Christmas special, or a film or even turn it into a stage show and tour the world with it? It’s still a full on ‘who knows?’ scenario!” Pretty much how the concept of the show anyway, huh? Let’s hope we get at least one more season of the goodness that is Flight Of the Conchords!
