Davey Havok is done with his electronic phase(for now), and we finally got a taste of new material from AFI, as the lead track, “Medicate” was released and heard worldwide on radio and on the interweb. “Medicate” is about “the mutability of elation that’s based in very powerful, fleeting moments… how something very powerful but brief can impact you.” Already well-received, fans are quick to comment that the tempo and overall sound of the track is reminicent of older AFI, around the “Sing The Sorrow” phase. The new album, “Crash Love” took a little over a year to write and record, and a peek at their website reveals a few lucky fans participated in the recording process. “Crash Love” slated for release on September 29, 2009
